Shipping

When will I receive my order so that I can plan ahead?

  • We will ship your package via FedEx Ground Home Delivery unless the FedEx Overnight service option is selected.
  • FedEx Ground Home Delivery is only eligible to the following states: FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, VA and TN. All other states, except for Alaska and Hawaii (sorry), are required to select FedEx Express Shipping services. 
  • All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Miami, FL.
  • Shipping cost is determined by distance, usually, the farther your order is going, the shipping cost will increase.
  • Transit times will depend on your distance. If you are working on a tight deadline, please contact us via email at care@tgprotein.com before placing your order, to ensure that we can meet your needs.
  • Orders are expected to arrive within 24-48 hours from when we ship. You will receive a tracking number from FedEx after the order ships so you will know estimated delivery date.

TG Protein shipment processing time: Orders received from Monday to Friday by 12:00 P.M. EST. will be processed and shipped on the same day. Orders received after 12:00 P.M. EST. will be processed and shipped next business day.

FedEx Ground Home Delivery only available to: FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, VA and TN.

  • Orders are shipped from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). 
  • Orders can take 2-4 days to arrive depending on the day and time the order was placed, and your distance from us.

FedEx Express Shipping (the rest of the states in continental U.S., except for Alaska and Hawaii, sorry)

  • FedEx Overnight services - Orders will be shipped from Monday to Thursday (excluding holidays).
  • FedEx 2Day services - Shipping deadline is Wednesday by 12:00 P.M. EST. Since your shipment requires 2 transit days, all orders received after the deadline, will be shipped on the following Monday.
  • Orders can take 2-7 days to arrive depending on the day and time the order was placed, and your distance from us.

What are your delivery area and prices?  

Continental US (except for Alaska and Hawaii, sorry): Every region will receive rates of shipping, the further away from our warehouse in Miami, FL, the more expensive the rate. Free Shipping on Florida orders over $99.00. For more detailed information read our Shipping Policy.

Do you ship internationally? 

We are unable to ship internationally at the moment due to customs restrictions. 

What if I need to change my delivery address after it has already shipped?

If for any reason you need to change your delivery address after your order has been dispatched, you can do this easily by creating an account through FedEx's Delivery Manager service. Please note that there may be additional fees for requesting a change of address.

What happens if my order is delayed while in transit?

While most deliveries will arrive with your product remaining frozen, weather and delivery delays may result in your product becoming thawed while in-transit. Product that arrives thawed but still cold can be re-frozen or used within 3-5 days.

Do I need to be home when my order arrives?

No, but it does need to be placed in your freezer within the day. While there are a lot of factors to consider (weather, direct sunlight, etc.), all our products are packed carefully in a reusable cooler with insulated lining containing either dry ice, gel packs, or a combination of both, enough to keep your food frozen while it's being shipped, and cold for the rest of the delivery day. So, don't worry if it's been sitting on your doorstep for a few hours waiting for you to come home.

Check your addresses carefully! Our guarantee extends only to correctly addressed orders. TG Protein shipments are perishable, and we cannot guarantee the condition of the package if the delivery service has to reroute the cooler. We guarantee delivery only to the provided address confirmed on the order acknowledgement. Any order sent to a customer that is refused or is undeliverable, will be charged the full shipping costs, including return shipping charges to TG Protein. Undeliverable packages are treated similar to orders for which an incorrect address has been provided by the customer or orders where the carrier has made three attempts to deliver and no one is available to accept the package.

The courier will normally knock on your door and, if no one is available, will leave your package at your door. However, it is at the sole discretion of the courier whether or not to leave a package if no one is available. We are not liable for orders that are not retrieved in a timely manner.

Refunds & Cancellations

What is your return policy?

TG Protein wants you to be completely satisfied with the quality and service of our products. Yet, for health and safety reasons, food and perishable products are not returnable or exchangeable. Please check the accuracy of your order upon receipt. Any errors or damaged items must be reported to us within 5 days of receipt of your order. For more detailed information read our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel an order for a full refund without any additional fees at any time before processing has begun. When you cancel an order that has been processed, you will be charged a restocking fee of $15. Orders that have already been shipped cannot be canceled. If your order was able to be cancelled, you will receive confirmation via email advising you of the details.

Where are your proteins from?

Meat and Poultry: Our Poultry and meat products are sourced domestically providing a vital link to support rural America. USDA Prime and Choice grade shields are highly regarded as symbols of safe, high-quality American beef.

Seafood: While most of or seafood products are wild caught, we also source responsibly farmed fish that complies with the highest standards of quality and traceability. Depending on seasonality, the geographical source point varies as part of sustainable strategies, such as avoiding overfishing.

Is fresh protein better than frozen?

Frozen is the new fresh. There’s nothing fresher than meat and seafood blast-frozen at -40 degrees. All of the nutrients and minerals are locked in. Not to mention the flavor. The older food gets, the more nutrition it loses. But frozen food can have more nutrition if it's frozen quickly and efficiently, because it decays more slowly. Fresh food that's been kept longer will have less nutrition than frozen. This applies to fruit just like it applies to beef or fish. The texture of most proteins will only change noticeably if the product isn’t frozen properly. If you handle it right, frozen meat should be just as good as fresh. And because the shelf life is dramatically increased without that annoying freezer crystallization, not only is frozen fresher – frozen is also much more convenient.

How should I defrost my proteins?

To thaw protein safely, the easiest method is placing them in the refrigerator the night before you want to use it. If you need to use it right away, you can thaw them in a pot of cold water changing the water every 30 minutes so that it continues to thaw. Place the protein in a plastic bag and tie the bag in a knot to completely seal it. You don't want the water to actually touch the protein. Don't thaw proteins in hot water. This will thaw the protein unevenly and too quickly, changing its taste and texture.

What is the shelf life of fish once it is fully thawed? 

Generally, fish should be consumed within 3-5 days after being thawed, but we recommend eating fish within 3 days for the best quality, taste and experience.

Generally, meat should be consumed within 5-7 days after being thawed, but we recommend eating meat within 3 days for the best quality, taste and experience.

 Packaging 

How my order is packaged?

We pack your products carefully in a reusable polystyrene cooler with insulated lining containing either dry ice, gel packs, or a combination of both. Your food items should arrive hard-frozen or partially frozen with ice crystals still visible or at least refrigerator cold, and all you need to do is transfer them directly to your freezer. Please use care handling any remaining dry ice; you can simply place the lid back on the shipping cooler overnight to allow the dry ice to dissipate.
